Blogging can be fun and is fun but the computer technology can be taxing for senior citizens

All this time Blogs @Fifty has been trying very hard to blog as regular possble especially because there is Teacher's teacher too. The spirit is willing but sad to say, for senior citizens at least, the expertise in using the compu techie can be very taxing and discouraging.

If not for the followers who seem to come one slowly after the other and of course the desire to reach out and the little gift from Google, the blog will cease.

Blogs@Fifty is once again focused on the recent developments all over the world: Just an hour or so, United Nations has voted and approved the "No Fly Zone". The protesters expressed their joy although the meaning and its implementation remain to be seen. The reaction of Gadhafi of Libya - his revenge- has yet to come to pass.

For us Filipinos, the problems that seem to haunt other countries affect us too. More and more it is surfacing that Fiipinos have scoured all parts of the world to look for "greener pastures". So when there is an earthquake in Japan, many filipinos were found stranded there as wives, parents or workers. With the crisis in Libya, Filipinos parhave been stranded too as workers and so they have to be repatriated to be saved from all the chaos that has caused lives. In Bahrain where there is uprising, filipinos are found  there too and once again they want to be saved from the anger of protesters who attacked them even when they hid themselves in their rooms. Certainly this is not going to be the end. . . .

What does this realization tell us? That the Philippine government does not have enough to offer to every filipino the jobs that every worker wishes to have. The monetary compensation seems to be the main problem for others have to give up being with their families to earn much much more in Japan, in Libya and in Bahrain among others,

President Pinoy of the Philippines has considered the plight of the overseas workers for sure but even presidents have to come to terms with problems that are beyond their control.

Senior citizens, for example, want to blog regularly but computer technology is no longer our "cup of tea". Blogs at Fifty will strive to do better however. Shalom!
