wow!wowwowwow!!! i have my blogspot now that am fifty plus old. That's why my first attempt of an article is "How's life fifty plus more later?".
Guys and gals out there of my age range. . . do sign in and talk with me. Am really an eager beaver when it comes to scribbling words here and there. However, I am still feeling my way with this blogging business now that I am fifty plus. My daughter had to become my resource speaker in one of my classes to be ignited with the seed of exploring and maximizing the laptop she gave to me last christmas.
SO, HOW'S LIFE FIFTY PLUS MORE LATER?
by fifty plus ma'am-mom
It is easy to swiftly talk of fifty as though the years just came and went. In fact and in real life scenario, the years were painfully both bitter and sweet. After all nineteen years of it were my single phases of my life; the succeeding twenty years were my married years and four children in the meanwhile and since 1998, my widowhood years spent as "mother and father" to four children whom i sent to college all alone.
Now i find myself, at 59, an older person whose children, three of whom are professionals. I am still wishing, my other son will decide to finish school. Then I can humbly say I have sent all my children to school and really facilitated their graduation and if possible, see them working. Yet, to this moment, my "kuya" decided to take his time so my happiness is incomplete.
I intend to finish another master's degree and my doctoral degree before I retire in 2015. Why I waited to decide on these things when my memory and my opportunities are less encouraging is beyond me. This is what I want to share to those who are taking for granted the years before them. Finish what you've begun even as you go on as ma'am and mom.
Take it from me, life after fifty is a life that awaits for the gift of an extension of life that only God can give. Anyways, life fifty years later is a life of giving, reflecting and praising.
