Andal Ampatuan claimed not guilty in all the 57 counts of murder in the Ampatuan Massacre; Ivler pleads not guilty in the murder of Ebarle, Jr., Why?

We remain the onlookers as we view the tv. We usually hear the most unexpected to the already done deal and when it happens, we are left dangling with our reactions: to throw something to release the shock or go away if only to breathe normally again.

Like the scenarios when Andal Ampatuan, with his usual "I could not care less look", claimed he is not guilty in all the 57 counts of murder; when Jason Ivler pleads not guilty in the murder of Ebarle Jr. All the victims of the Ampatuan massacre are now buried; the grieving families are still crying for justice for each of the 57 who died yet the "wheels" of justice allow all the suspects to readily claim: not guilty. Ebarle. Jr. was shot due to a traffic skirmish; he was buried amidst a family left disbelieving why it happened yet the "wheels" of justice allow the suspect to readily claim: not guilty.

All the pains in the world can really leave you disillusioned just as all the injustices can paralyze you with an almost unbearable thug at your innermost being hungry for justice. It is precisely when you are down on your knees, beaten and hopeless that our God remains the only savior, the only hope. Offer everything to Him and in His own time, help you to understand everything.

To all the families in pain, Lent has come before us. May it be your anchor to hold on.
