Bukidnon is in a way, 94 years in existence. Being Blogs at fifty plus, this info is mind bugging for while we have been in existence for more than 50, the province has been taken care of by migrants or those who were not born here. To this day, the dream is still in my subconscious - to run for public office one day. It will have to stay in the "back burner" for around 5 or 6 years more.
The usual parade participated in by all government, NGOs and private entities was the highlight of the day. This year, the guest speaker was Vice-President Jejomar C. Binay.
While all these things were happening, it dawned on me that the people who painfully cooperate to dress up and go with the flow - wait until the veryyyyy long line of the parade affair finally reaches the capitol ground - and every contingent goes to its assigned kiosk where packed food awaits. But this might sound unfair for certainly of the thousands who came, some may qualify as genuinely committed to find some meaning amidst all the festivities.
Bukidnon - my land of birth, you deserve the laurels of success. God bless Bukidnon, now on its 94th and forever!
