Philippines DOJ secretary Leila De Lima is our kind of lady. More power to her tribe!

"Who else will respect Department of Justice (DOJ) if it gives selective justice?" "Why did Lacson flaunt his capability to escape and not get caught? or travel when when there was an outstanding warrant of arrest? "Who helped Lacson do what he did? These are some of the queries of DOJ Secretary De Lima which we hope she will pursue and inform the Filipino people about the answers.

Philippines DOJ Secretary Leila De Lima, you are our kind of lady and we pray that there are more of your tribe in government!

Blogs@FiftyPlus saw and heard Senator Lacson give his piece why he did what he did. While we understand some of the points he raised, it is still incumbent upon him as a Senator to overcome his fear that he will not be given justice under the Arroyo administration. Certainly, he has access to a legal team to defend his rights and all other "perks" that seem to come with one's high position in government. In a way this actuation leads us to say Senator Lacson is not our kind of guy and we do not wish him well and we hope he will not do again what he had done. At least he learned how to rely on special friends, how to fend for himself to the extent he now knows how to cook, wash his own clothes and walk with his head bowed down.

All these realities challenge us to look at ourselves more deeply. Sometimes we can identify with DOJ Secretary, Leila De Lima when in our little ways we have stayed the course of good and identify with Senator Lacson when we escaped from persecution of some kind by fleeing and hiding with the help of some friends through thick and thin. Ah Life, "parang kinabuhi", how can we ever face it if not to LIVE IT.
