Birthdays are still worth celebrating; my Mother celebrates hers today (March 4) in heaven; my son celebs March 5

Birthdays or the day we are born are worth celebrating regardless of our busy schedule. My Nanay Filemoncita celebrates hers today, March 4 but then my Nanay is now with God so she has no reason to think of her birthday as more important than being with God. To my Nanay Peding: please take care of your granddaughter Irene who is now in Washington courtesy of International Visitors Leadership Program of the United States Embassy. We are "worlds apart" and facebook and twitter are our "channels" to know how the other is doing. My mother will certainly find this weird since her time is 1914-1990 so no cell phones and definitely no internet, facebook and twitter.

My son, Lorenzo Paul Boni, the proprietor of One Happy Story and Happy Eggs will celebrate his birthday tomorrow, March 5. He will leave for General Santos City for a wedding photography and being practical, he will be in Gen San when he celebrates his 28th birthday! Bon, my son, you have many things to thank God for. His date with the US embassy on March 12 is what we pray to God that it be granted so he can visit USA. God's hand and God's time play a great role in the way events will eventually come to pass.

Irene, the sole lady and Filipino participant who made it in this year's International Visitors Leadership Program of the United States and is now in Washington will celebrate her birthday on April 5 and with God's blessing, will be with her aunt and Godmother, Emilita and Tito Nabil in New York City. She is due to comeback to the Philippines on April 6. We are planning to be in Manila to welcome her back to the Philippines.

Then on May 31, my son, Nathaniel Boni, presently working in Cebu City is turning a year older. the family is planning to be in Cebu to make Nathan's (tennis guru) natal day extra special.

July is my other son's birthday:  Benedict, our chef in the family. He is sharing his expertise in "Happy Eggs" located in 19-2nd Nazareth St., Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao Philippines. I have enough timeto prepare for their big days notwithstanding that my natal day falls on July 1.

Senior and elderly persons do not welcome talk about birthdays because we have enough age limit to control but when viewed with our loved ones in mind, birthdays are red-letter days as always!
