March 22, Thursday, is declared as Charter Day for the city of Malaybalay, Province of Bukidnon. There was confusion earlier whether this day is a holiday or not. In our campus, the decision is non-working holiday, however those who have final exams scheduled should go on with their exams. It was difficult to understand why it is supposed to be a non-working holiday. This teacher and senior citizen was lucky for she did not have any scheduled exam. Only to experience on the so called holiday that her holiday would turn out very painful teeth experience, severe headache and body ache and very tired feeling. At one point, I pretended to cry aloud to get the attention of our beloved dog, Michael and as ever, he did everything to let me feel I was not alone. We love our Michael, the dog, our friend.
This made me think that I have to accept with all my heart the state I am in, senior, elderly and about to retire. I have to accept too that it will have to be a painful realization but I have to give more attention to an exercise regimen, a more nutritious food intake and a better sleep schedule. I am happy too I have this blog, Elderly Blues and Blows. Fellow senior colleagues, may I be linked with your own blog sites?
It is already 4:37 in the afternoon but I just ate my lunch. I ordered from Jollibee to make it more acceptable by my preferred taste today and avail of my senior citizen discount. So I liked the food and so now I have the energy to write this blog and hopefully keep up the with the day's remaining activities.
So it is the charter day of Malaybalay City and so it is the rest day for this Senior and Elderly.
