A new house and a new home . . . thank you God!

It took more than ten years for us to have another chance to build a new house. It took the help of Engr. Tony Decano to gather my family to our new home. Anyone interested to seek the expertise of Engr., just comment through this blogspot. Expect some photos that showcase our new love nest.

May 25, happened to be my father's death anniversary so it became the day when we blessed our new home. Father Adajar was kind enough to bless our dwelling at a time when all the priests in Malaybalay left for Camiguin.

I find myself waking up everyday - with a huge feeling of excitement and fulfillment. The lawn which was "landscaped" by Ray and Glo is a spot to behold. The place at the back of the house is "work in progress" as all the other "extras" that we have amassed through the years . . . space is one big thing we lack.

Yet one lesson stands out . . . things are things. We do not really need so many in life. When our time comes, not one object can be brought . . . for what matters the most is your readiness to meet your Maker.

So here we are in our new home. Expect many more anecdotes in the succeeding blogs. To other families who are now in their new homes, my prayers for you too!

Tell me about your cyber experience at fifty plus

Without alluding to the almost given afterthought, this experience is one, that for us who lived most of our life when typewriters were the best means to"encode", belongs to another world.

So tell me about your first attempt at "putting on the computer"? Did you feel the "sting" of excitement for finally the machine is at your disposal? When you were able to master the so-called "mouse", did you find yourself smiling for you have conquered its movements and you can now move it according to your will? Imagine the "almost disgusting look" the young give our way because we smile at such a very easy task. If they can only fathom where we are coming from. I know so many colleagues who are so alienated from the ict tech- up to now they have not done what i alluded to earlier.

Use my blogspot to share your feelings of inadequacy. Share with me how I can improve my attempt at blogging. With remarks coming from as many you can expect poems and anecdotes from me. While I am at it, read my next blog for I am inspired to write one poem for you, my readers.
