My New Year 2010 Prayer-Wishes for Malaybalay

Where do I begin?

As the capital of the province of Bukidnon, Philippines: Malaybalay will do more that what it has done so far. Make a mark in the lives of its citizenry. Does the majority know what the government has done for them?

Being described the city within a forest, do we still have this forest? Cool weather but warm people they say about the residents: are the people warm because they are hospitable or is it because it has been set up as such?

That the new group of city officials who will be elected is the result of the people's will not vote buying.

That the young will have variety of outlets of their energy and talent such that they direct their energies to developing holistically instead of engaging in public display of affection, drinking sessions and drug use.

That after all these years, Malaybalay will have a tv station to showcase the progress of the city even as the talents and entrepreneurship of the residents will now be given avenues of recognition and acknowledgment.

That there will be an ecumenical council of elders ever ready to address differences of religious beliefs but openness and respect of similarities and acceptance of one God.
