The Malaybalay of Malaybalayan's Life Stages

There comes a time in one’s when life today comes in full circle. This is made possible by the many comparisons one is made to reflect upon. All the events come rushing by for one to recall, to recapture, to go deeper into some scenarios, to forget. Malaybalayan, having chosen for its blog name, Malaybalayan, happens to be born in Malaybalay and stayed there through her elementary, high school and college years.

Malaybalayan left Malaybalay to find her mark in Cebu City and gave the place a chance to make it her home but it was not meant to be. Malaybalayan moved to Davao City and spent 20 years of her life there: got married and had 4 beautiful and handsome children. Just when the children finished their high school, events took over and it was back to Malaybalay once again.

Now, it is Malaybalay, the home of Malaybalayan. Her children introduced her to blogging and readily Malaybalayan was the name that cropped up for her blog’s niche. It is life coming to its full circle so to speak.

Many do say that they have similar experiences in their lives. Somehow, Malaybalay calls them back and they too have come back for good. Now, their children are Malaybalayans. Someday, they will tell their stories too.

What does Malaybalayan say about Malaybalay through her years of relationship with it? As a place, she says it has grown: from a town to a city. As such, people do not know each other as much as they used to. Bad elements have come to sow anxiety and disorder. Still, the residents hang on to the Malaybalay we used to know: peace and serenity. As my future, it is still a better option compared to what has become of other cities.

Malaybalayan invites you to visit Malaybalay. More details about the town of her birth will follow soon. Welcome to the City within a forest.
