Life is really about changes just as it is filled with blues and blows. Why elderly? Because the blogger used to be fifty plus when she began her first blog then turned sixty and is now sixty-one. Why blues? Because to turn sixty is like getting and becoming old which includes getting and feeling the blues of life's new twists. Why blows? Because becoming elderly gives one some kind of authority about the realities of life: you can blow up issues and remain credible for you have gone through so many challenges in life there seems to be someone more believable than someone with capital E ( to mean EXPERIENCE) as her solid defense.
Do you like the "new dress" we have put on? That Blogs @ Fifty sounds better put if it wears Elderly Blues and Blows?
So what's in a name? We were told by bloggers it can mean everything. Do write your comments about our new name. How did you come up with yours? Imagine the creativity of Oprah: Harpo. Take many other names of business establishments which cater to a "backward" version of names: Yonip for Pinoy. Any othernames you observe using this style? Then there is Bench which really is a creative way of capturing the owner's name Ben Ching. Any other version you are familiar with?
