Blues and Blows Tuesday A23

Being renamed "Elderly Blues and Blows"  is asking this blogger to blog daily consciously so A23 blog (August 23 entry) is up.
Blue area - What is happening in Tripoli, Libya is  a concrete proof of how violence can become very easy with rebels armed and troops equally armed. The rest of the world is looking at what is going on via CNN and this is all we can do other than pray for them, especially since the reporters are trapped inside the hotel. This is the blue area of man's persona. This is our experience right where we are: in our family, in our workplace, in our community. We have Moammar Gadhafi in Libya, a 42-year regime but we have Gadhafi counterparts in the places just cited. Egypt has Mubarak, Iraq has Hussein, Germany had Hitler, Afghanistan had Osama Bin Laden. We have ourselves to ponder upon and ask ourselves how we can become more instruments of peace rather than violence.
So here goes the blow area - If violence begets violence then non-violence begets non-violence. All this talk is directed to our self for it is where we should begin if it should ever start. Like today, we begin the day with a smile and thank God for the new day. We prepare for the day's activities with a conscious effort to have good camaraderie with the people you come in contact with. In the case of this blogger, the students have been giving her problems because of their lax attitude towards their studies. There is need to view this stress on a positive light which the other blog: www.Teacherallherlife.com will document.
Back home, we hear of the Hongkong nationals who are asking from the Philippine government an apology for their loved ones who died in the Manila hostage crisis. The idea of asking for an apology is never an easy task but if it were done to promote better relationships, it is always a good option.

Elderly Reflection point:  Always begin again. We, the elderly, can never say we have arrive because we have become elderly. We can however say, we have lived longer so we see the folly we have never overcome. We promise ourselves to begin again. Every new day is another day to begin again. Let us carry this today: A 23 says: Begin Again!
