Gaisanao Malaybalay has opened: brand new and huge!

For Malaybalayans, the new look of Gaisano Malaybalay is good news. Malaybalayan.blogspot.com will share some photos to show to kababayans who are now based abroad. We have yet to go there ourselves and take the pictures.

For us who were born here, the evolution of Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, Philippines, from a town to a city, from a place where everybody knew everyone to an urban setting where robbery and snatching have become ordinary happenings - we could not help but wish the good ol' days were back.

The city market seemed done but it seemed nobody is using the second floor. Also, the fish and meat sections are still where they used to be so what is the new market for? We hope to interview some people about all these questions.
