Roaring like a loose, old animal . . .

Some happenings stun you just as it leaves you thinking what to do next. A certain university hosted a disaster management week-end symposium. With the students trying to do other things before going to the venue, the coordinator came roaring with his motocycle and literally roared at everyone why they were not yet in the site. Without going into the details save that which has bearing on the present topic, the scenario painted the person who lost his cool as someone who was supposed to remember he did not have any, as in any, right to roar like what he did.

This leads us to the option we can do as a consequence: an open letter declaring the tirade a product of misadministration of authority or a letter of complaint to the powers that be and demanding due reparation or plain attack to this person and only God knows what the outcome will be. Whew! our imagination has become very fertile.

Anyways, why do we sometimes roar like old or battered animals? Why do we take the liberty to roar without a second thought that we, the hearers or recipients of the offensive noise can always bark as loudly? Do you know some did this and now are patients due to mild stroke?

Ah, life is a field of oozing struggle for power yet, come to think of it, this power is a passing fancy and for some the realization comes too late. Now we can look at him like a defeated warrior. By the way, the symposium that was meant to make us aware of man-made disasters literally produced one right in their doorstep. What an irony!
