Earlier, we were set to blog but one's weary body got the better of her and fell asleep! Some noise woke her up and realized she had some catching up to do but first she should go to the bedroom to properly sleep on the bed. So she was waiting for sleep to take over but minutes passed but to no avail. Time to sleep became time to continue writing the blog after all . . . After all, we want to be counted to in time for Bloggers' Day and everyday after then.
A 26 - Hello this 2:57 in the morning blues:
* Hurricane Irene - Bahamas is battling its attack. Irene is a name close to this blogger's heart because her eldest and only girl among 4 siblings is Irene. The Today Show of NBC, through its field reporter further informs H Irene is heading towards the East Coast. What is very important to note are the remarks of the residents: Follow the government's advisory -mandatory evacuation means evacuate without delay.
* Steve Jobs steps down as CEO of Apple, Computer giant. It s sad to hear he is battling cancer. He is a recipient of a liver transplant. It is equally baffling as it is humbling life's wont. Man can conquer the computer world or nature's onslaught but not the "unknowns".
What blows are in the offing?
* Typhoons, floods and hurricanes have counterparts in a person's life. Anywhere in the world, we hear or see how chaos keeps haunting peace and order. Syria, Libya are in the limelight but there are others in the same mess. We just have to remain positive amidst the storms of life. We "blow up" our immune system to defend one's self from the many troubling moments that come our way. Once we get our balance and the right perspective set, even the most difficult to bear becomes one more challenge to hurdle.
* The case of Steve Jobs is heart-breaking especially because his brand of excellence is only his and nobody else's. For us, the elderly, we are reminded of what we must come to terms with, perhaps we do not have the excellence in terms of technological expertise but the humility to be grateful for the years that gracefully make life worth all the many years that came our way.
Do you know blogging unearths in us the hidden nuggets of insights somehow buried in the recesses of our fountain of ideas somewhere in the hands of the One who made us?
