Is flaring up without much thought an elderly trait or is part of growing elderly?

Today, this elderly found herself flaring up when a fellow worker kept harping on the qualifications of others who she thought did not match hers. Without much effort she told the so-called
better than the others" what she felt and whoa! what a match of words ensued! Since the unresolved "bout" the unreleased energy still begs to be further released like more catharsis that has not run its course.

Is this flaring up part of this elderly present status or is a trait the elderly has to curtail to avoid future skirmishes with more "am better than you" personalities we are bound to meet as long as we work with people? It is already dawn but the tremor is still there and there has to be some sort of settling down activity that is needed before sleep comes. . . Thus this blog is the one we pray before morning visit this life. . .
