BBC World News is still giving its breaking news: Jackson Doctor Sentencing: Dr. Conrad Murray to be jailed for 4 years.
The newscaster commented that Dr. Murray "did not show remorse" and did not use the opportunity to apologize to the Jackson family. He added that he seemed to give the impression that he blamed all others except himself. This scenario is something this blogger- this elderly blogger - has to respond to. This is more relevant especially because in an earlier blog this blogger experienced flaring up upon sensing the "am better qualified than you" attitude of a colleague.
As an elderly, we do find similar cases where the respondent is adamant to accept his guilt much more accept that he was really the culprit. In a broader context, people, regardless of ages, prefer to blame all the rest but not their own persons. In connection with the case of Dr. Murray, he has to come to terms with himself sooner if not later. The restitution ordered by the court usually financial in nature will have to include other facets beyond cash. One's status sometimes is not enough armor to claim preparedness to accept the consequences of one's irresponsibility or negligence. As life's problems come, we find ourselves making options to do good or do evil but to know exactly how to do the correct thing always is something that eludes the doer for the temptation to do otherwise can be mistaken as the right choice.
Initial feedback from an elderly:We have many "Murrays" in the world and so we can only pray for each other than when the time comes we can go beyond the trials of life. We can always learn from each other.
