Becoming an elderly implies losing more, if not all, your teeth!?

Sorry for the initial blast but this is what this blogger has to say that being an elderly implies losing more, if not all, one's teeth!? While other elderly still sports many original teeth and still eat fresh guavas or much corn from the cob, most will have to accept the inevitable: one's teeth tend to degenerate and sooner or later full denture is the only way to retain one's capacity to eat the "natural" way.

This coming Christmas vacation, this blogger hopes to have an appointment with her dentist. She will ask for an informed decision since the plan is to extract all the remaining teeth and have full dentures in its place. Any last minute advice guys?

Elderly blue: the time comes to stop hoping against hoe that the remaining teeth are still functioning as it should even when the teeth seem to give so many sleepless nights because negligence to regularly visit the dentist has not become a priority. It will be a difficult decision but a decision must be made.

Elderly blow: it is with regret that care of teeth is as important as caring for one's body parts. It is going to be difficult but having reached this age is a reality that comes with some strong reminders: mortality, loss of teeth and full dentures. Well, life is really more than having complete set of teeth. Life is loving your family and doing your best while life calls you to do your share.
Food will have to be well chosen: more of the soft kind like "arroz caldo" or "champorado" even when it will be difficult what with Christmas food festivals and the like.  Well, 60 years or so of eating anything that one fancies is already enough reason to thank God for the memories. . . Keep on smiling just the same . . . and keep on eating with gratitude . . .
