Christmas season opens alumni celebration and reunions especially for the elderly

While some schools and universities choose other months for their alumni celebs and reunions, others choose Christmas season, which formally begins on December 16 as the time to see fellow alumni and alumnae. The case in point is Bukidnon State Univesity, Malaybalay City, Province of Bukidnon, Central Mindanao, Philippines. It is called Grand Alumni Homecoming because graduates from the time the school was then called Bukidnon Normal School, then Bukidnon State College and now Bukidnon State University will be represented. Teacher's teacher  and this blog urge all the ones concerned to contact Malaybalayan through the two blogs cited to express interest and we will do just that: keep you informed. You may sponsor some of the activities and we will acknowledge your effort. Any first responders?

In connection with elderly blues and blows, indeed some of the graduates belong to this category by now. This blogger is one of the elderly. She graduated from Bukidnon Normal School way back1970. She taught for a time in Malaybalay City up to 1972 then left for Cebu City and pursued her Masters in the University of San Carlos. Then when there was another opportunity, left for Davao City because of love reasons. Many years later, she got married and had four children. In this particular love story, time came when she had to come home to her land of birth and so Malaybalay it was and as fate had it, back to her Alma Mater, then Bukidnon State College in 1990's and soon in 2000's, Bukidnon State University. Wow!!! how time passed by. Stories always make us grow homesick and "elderly". Are you one of my generation? Let us see each other on December 27-29, 2011 in Bukidnon State University gymnasium and reminisce those days. . . See you guys!!!
