Among senior citizens, death is fearful to consider but with Easter, death is life.

Whether senior citizens accept it or not, death is a reality we fear. Sometimes, we protect ourselves through the comforting thought that the children are all grown and they can manage on their own. Still, the thought of death is fearful to consider.This is the Good News that Easter event brings: that death is in fact life not damnation or tragic conclusion of a person's life. 

Fellow elderly, senior colleagues, the test of our life is in accepting even the most difficult. We have to pray for each other - for strength and strong faith that when the time comes,it is not us that rules but our faith. This is easier said than done and we know it. Still, it is a comforting thought that we need badly in moments of hesitation and anxiety.  Let this Easter Event: the time when Jesus became the Christ that we are able to muster the humility to look up to the Maker and smile come what may.

In the meantime, let us celebrate Easter and savor the good tiding it brings especially to the senior citizens whose blues and blows go to and fro.
