August 25, 2012 - Philippines - hears of CNN's breaking news: Shooting incident near Empire State Building which wounded 9 and killed the shooter is shocking not only New York but the whole world. The story as it unfolds is telling us the bigger picture of how a disgruntled employee who was fired led him to do the evil act of shooting the manager of the establishment where he worked. The scenario is not new because nowadays despair accompanies anyone who is not employed or underemployed or fired.
Many problems in the world are now becoming problems of anyone wherever you are. The world is becoming smaller because of technology yet it is making the world more harsh if not cruel when a number of persons have it as the less fortunate or the ones considered unlucky in the work place or in one's status in life.
CNN always updates us how the world is doing and tells us how a people can help each other in many small ways. Talk TV too is my other favorite in trying to add data to what is happening outside the Philippines. We pray there are more news items that bind us together as humane individuals and not as bestial beings.
