Having lived for more than sixty years, the earthquakes and storms and other calamities never cease to grip humans.
In the first place we attribute all these to what has been done to our environment. We are all witnesses to what goodness the earth gives to us when we take care of our lands, trees and rivers. This elderly for example has taken unto herself the protection of the 500 square meter lot of her sister just beside her own home. The place will be shown here someday when all the banana plants will have its own fruits attached to its stalk. Then the fruit trees of various kinds are now trying to bloom and grow tall. All these trees and plants come to exist because of this elder's hands which seem to become "green thumbs" as time goes by. This will be the way this blog will go . . . a hodgepodge of photos which prove what the earth can give in return if we truly and really take care of the soil.
In the second place we have earthquakes every year and the number increases according to the place where the country is located. Many networks are at our disposal to t\give us more scientific data but in the present case our focus is on the more practical perspective which we, the ordinary elderly and senior citizens seem to understand more and more due to the many years of living in this sometimes calm and sometimes tumultuous earth.
In the third place there is the inevitable connection with the "end times" when whether we believe it or not, the earth will have to end if not come to some destruction which is caused by the many years of abuse and or misuse of its bounty. Each of us as stewards will have to account how we have participated either way: for the good or for the bad of this place called Earth.
In the fourth place, call it any other way, earthquakes, storms, floods, tornadoes and the like . . . but sooner or later, we have to come to terms with what all these have to do with our lives and what has become of us in spite of or despite the catastrophes. One fact is loud and clear: have we become better persons after all the experiences or we have become passive and uncaring just the same. You alone can answer all these.
