Crime right in your doorstep . . .

The Holy Book no less teaches us that "death comes like a thief in the night". Sometimes death comes in your doorstep right in the middle of the day with all your loved ones around and all they can do is become shocked and tongue tied and perhaps remain haunted all their loves . . .

Elderly Blues & Blows is equally of this same stunted condition when a dentist was shot around eleven in the morning right in her clinic with the children and office staff in the building. Nobody will ever understand how brutal a person can be for others have already advanced some possible explanations why it was done to a professional. Still to be killed in broad daylight right in the highway where homes and business establishments are located remains a blatant desecration to anything that even god will be surprised Himself what has become to His creatures made in His image and likeness. Death done through crime has come right in the doorstep of the victim. 

We, the elders are worried for our grown children who have their own careers. We are afraid that they might have come near the establishment and be victimized for being there in the wrong place at the wrong time. In this case only the family members were around. The people who heard the shots came out of their own offices or homes and we could already imagine the questions that are uppermost in their minds. Why are all these crimes becoming more blatant and bolder everyday? Where are the so-called peace officers? Where are the city officials?Where is everyone who is supposed to be around when these things stare us in the face? How many more crimes must happen any time? 

To this day we have yet to hear from the so-called elected officials to find out what is being done to protect the city. To this day we even have to wonder whether another week will go by without any crime that comes right in our doorstep?!!!
