Last Saturday, April 20, Philippine time in Sichuan, China earthquake 6.6 left many dead and wounded and after shocks, 2000 of it still being felt according to CNN and BBC; in India a five year old girl was raped; recent happening Japan-China tensions due to territorial ownership and to top it all, the Marathon bomber is still recuperating denying the world the real motive why he and his brother bombed a very well-meaning wellness activity. This elderly has grown all her gray hairs and cannot in her reflective moments fathom where the world is going.
Earthquakes remind us of the power of nature which cannot be taken lightly. Raping a child usually produces thunder and lightning in broad daylight marking the wrath of the Almighty who is partial to children for in their faces is reflected the goodness of creation. Territorial ownership will forever be a problem since the world has many resources but ma's greed cannot be accommodated all the time. Terrorism of any kind reminds us of man's sinful tendency just as it is a reminder of a person's goodness if the power is used for the good of mankind.
We have only each other to pray for and plea in our consciences that whatever persons are still not doing, the moment to reform is always there for us to opt. this elderly prays that as always, the good trumps over evil.
