Blogs at fifty can vouch that indeed the history of the Philippines is marked by many firsts: the EDSA I being the prototype of a "bloodless revolution", Manny Pacquiao, the first filipino boxer to win in 7 different levels, Efren Penaflorida, first CNN Hero and a filipino and now the first joint session of the House of the Senate and the House of Congress.
We are currently viewing the joint session via ANC and though painstakingly done, what with all the technical parliamentary procedure that has to be observed otherwise there would be commotion and simultaneous objections from all the luminaries who have assembled for this momentous event, our eyes are still glued to hear from as many with our own ears.
In the meantime, we pray for our leaders so that they will minimize grandstanding and give priority to all avenues that will bring out the truth in all the issues that surround the declaration of Martial Law.
As a concerned citizen and a Mindanaoan, a Malaybalayan, we say: Martial Law should be used only as a means never an end. God bless the joint session.

Martial Law is a cursed word or phrase to those youths born in the '60s, I included.
