Like any place located on mountains, Malaybalay, Bukidnon Philippines experiences earthquakes. When this happens, what should you and I do?
Our earthquake drill tells us to "dock, cover and roll". Yet when there was one earthquake, all we did was feel whether it was slow or strong. We decided it was just minimal so we went on with our class. Certainly, a much safer guideline can be done.
Experts say: if we find ourselves already inside a tall building, choose a place which is under a hard furniture like a table and stay under it; if already outside the building, stay away from electrical connections or away from tall buildings; if you find yourself in a slopy area, transfer to a flat ground; stay away from mirrors.
In the end, nothing beats a sincere prayer to your God for safety.
