At 61 years young, a senior and an elderly, never in my wildest dreams did I think I would reach this far. Every time somebody tells me I do not look 60 or older, my heart smiles. Realization tells me however that more and more age is not equated with just the physical features but with the wisdom one learns every moment of life.
The realization that being a senior and elderly is an honor and grace from God is borne through the pain and triumph of overcoming the 60 or more years of life's ups and downs.
So here goes this senior and elderly giving her blues and blows which seem to be heightened by the fact that she is alone in her home but not necessarily lonely. She just has more time in her hands. With this time is the window of opportunity to being another chapter of her life: gardening perhaps, playing musical instruments why not and all the other avenues that not even age can stop. It seems God is telling her that life still offers so much that the future is all in the hands of God: to let her continue her dream and just do what is destined for her and "wait until further notice". This seems to be the prayer of every senior and elderly: that since is an honor and grace from God, all the remaining years are in His hands to carve. All she does is say Amen!
So no wonder the saints in their lifetime say: Do everything as though everything depends on you but pray as though everything depends on God.
