Absence from blogging is due to poor WIFI reception not my desire to blog . . .

Elderly Blues & Blows was forced to take a leave of absence due to WIFI problems and not my firm desire to blog and blog and blog.  So let's begin . . .

By now the horrific incident in Newtown, Connecticut is the talk of the world. So many similar events had happened but 20 victims: 5-10 year old pre-schoolers massacred is beyond compare. As an elderly it is one of the worst news one can receive. This is made worse when one of the victims is your child or your grandchild. If not for our faith in God who has promised us a life other than the one we have on this world, it is almost like the end of life.

As I watch many who shared their thoughts, their pains, here I was crying with them. When no less than Barack Obama, President of the United States cried, he made it a little easier to show grief and that together even the most horrifying reality is unbearably bearable. It was also heart-tugging that even the parents of the victims were not out to say the worst thing against the shooter. What seems to be paramount as the moment is just to do the best each one can to manage to move on even if it is impossibly possible to do so.

To the parents like me, I would like you to know that you are not alone. We may come from another country and world apart from you in terms of distance but our hearts are one in praying for you and hoping for the miracle of moving on against all odds.

This blogspot may have been absent due to WIFI problems but it has come back to tell the world that whether we blog or not we connect as human beings constantly struggling to live lives which are filled with generosity and concern for each other. Take care fellows!
