Sad realization of my tendency to get very mad when expressing an elderly point of view about disrespectful acts

Today is a Sunday but the early morning was disturbed by so-called linemen of a multinational wi-fi provider. They just went about their so called service without finding out if there is a private property that will be unnecessarily disrespected. so, being the ever-self- appointed administrator of my sister's lot, I had to ask who they were and what exactly are they doing. As you could almost surmise, they were rude and without introducing and explaining exactly they were there they went on with what they thought they should do.

So, I called my sister who happened to visit us and being the owner of the lot informed her of what was going on. So she came with me and there in the presence of the people who did not have the courtesy to inform us why they were going about trespassing and feeling no qualm about it. In the course of a heated explanation,  I again encountered how angry I could get because others are disrespectful. I was so angry my daughter told me later I looked like ready to attack.

Let us just say, everything finally came to a halt and at least my sister saw for herself how I could really go out of my way to protect her land. She told me however I have to slow down what with so many NPAs and unknown persons who might just take upon themselves to throw grenades or pay someone to harm us.

More and more it is becoming crystal clear to me my tendency to get very mad and that although I have valid reasons, I have to entertain the idea of looking inward and as my daughter would say: "taking time to choose my battles."  This blog then is precisely an admission of how painful it is to realize to keep one's cool even in the midst of the most stressful scenarios. To you out there fellow senior citizens, elderly and more: ow do you cope with this feeling of anger that if it is not ventilated can strangle your sanity?

I would like to pray for more patience and enlightenment for wisdom to go beyond a person's tendency to allow the negative energy to get the better of us all. PEACE ...
