Hongkong is tourist-friendly; coiuntries all over the world should follow suit.

Thanks to Mindanaoan, BukidnononLine,Tennis Guru, OneHappyStory and Kuya B,  Blogs @FiftyPlus got to enjoy the family trip to its fullest, from Cagayan de Oro City and then Cebu City Philippines to Hongkong and Macau China. While Hongkong in particular ranked number one for being tourist-friendly, it still matters a lot if you are not just touring but bonding as well especially with the members of your family who may stay single up to a certain time in their decision-making stage. Not every parent gets to have this rare chance so now that the opportunity came to fruition, more blogs will be written inspired by this special and momentous event of a lifetime.

Just submitted my first tweet . . .

Like other senior citizens it came as a difficult task to keep up to date especially when facebook and twitter are the topics. For Malaybalayan then it came as an achievement for just a few minutes ago, she twitted for the first time. Do follow Malaybalayan at Twitter.com.

The topic of the 140 character allowable to comprise the thought you want out there dealt with Death. Recent events highlighted the glaring reality of death. So Malaybalayan twitted: I believe one's quality of life deserves more attention than its end.

Malaybalayan follows @datozainab, @mindanaoan and @alchemistreader. Join the trio and let us tweet soon.

Is Malaybalay still a safe place to live in?

Berlusconi is the Prime Minister of Italy. In one political rally in Milan, he went around to meet the people when a man with mental disorder threw an object. Berlusconi suffered fractured nose, two broken teeth and severe facial trauma.

This seems to be the current trend: to throw a shoe to a president or in this case, a sharp object to a prime minister. The case Malaybalayan is putting on the table is the situation here in Malaybalay. We cannot deny anymore that bad elements have come to stay in and around our city. In fact, if you spend more time just observing as many areas in Malaybalay, you cannot help but be alarmed. Is Malaybalay still a safe place to live in?

Education 138 students, Malaybalayan challenges you to answer the question. Malaybalayan.blogspot.com will give space to some of your comments.

Malaybalayan congratulates Efren Penaflorida, CNN Hero of the Year!

Imagine ten(10)  finalists made it to CNN Heroes of the Year but who made it to the top? - the winner and Hero of the Year? Efren Penaflorida!!! He received one hundred thousand dollars for himself and perhaps for his "kariton" school but for for us, his fellow filipinos, he gave us reason to smile - big - and hold our heads up - we are countrymen of the world's hero.

Efren, just to let you know - Malaybalayan had this gut feeling that you would win. This intuition comes to me once in a while but am also aware, filipinos are the best when it comes to voting for a kababayan. There seems to be a shower of blessings from on high that literally opted to give it to us, filipinos of the Philippines, the only christian country of Asia. Sorry, just light-hearted partiality for the Good News that seems to come our way.

On Malaybalayan's part, she will  have a grand time tomorrow, Monday, first day of the school week, to rejoice and inspire each other. Pacquiao, Champion of 7 various boxing categories and Penaflorida, Hero of the Year - our countrymen. Three cheers to all Filipinos!!!

Malaybalayan took time off at Blessie's Facial Center

If Bahia Spa in Davao City pampered our whole body ,thanks to Bukidnon0nLine and Mindanaoan, Blessie's Facial Center in Cagayan de Oro City, rendered my fifty plus face- soft, supple and flawless. Expect photos of Malaybalayan in the succeeding blogs.

For now, as promised, we strongly urge you to go to 280 Tiano-Yacapin Sts., where Blessie's Facial Center is located, Cagayan de Oro, 9000 Philippines or call (088)8561235/857-2177 to make an appointment with either Aida or Bembem. These days, no less than the owner, Blessie, is there to avail of the expert's hand as Malaybalayan experienced herself.

For a long time we really thought this move to pay extra for one's body is luxurious and unnecessary but wait until you reach fifty and you will have a change of heart. Yes, ladies, try it and feel good!

Malaybalayan cheers for Pacquiao!

Women have this intuition that something is bound to happen. In an earlier blog, Malaybalayan already shared that in her gut she was sure Manny would win. Now, more than ever, this intuition was proven reliable. Malaybalayan cheers for consequently M cheers for Pacquiao's victory.

Does this mean, Manny's father will have his big bonus too? Manny, do that for your Mama Dionisia is living her dream so as a daughter, our wish is for your father to be given all the breaks too.

All the filipinos are happy for you because we see your simplicity. Stay grounded Manny. This way, we can still have one role model of humility amidst abundance of  wealth.

Reseach initiatives are alive in the College of Teacher Education, Bukidnon State University

Malaybalayan got ideas from the resource speaker, Dr. Sol Simbulan, how to intensify one's enthusiasm to do research. Hopefully, succeeding blogs will feature the key findings of Malaybalayan's research attempts. To Malaybalayan's colleagues, once Malaybalayan knows your studies, expect it to be "blogged" too!!!

Ocean Park memories, when can Malaybalayan visit again?

Malaybalayan has become sentimental nowadays. . . first the Girl Scout Convention and now, Ocean Park. Why? That is the reality of a person's capacity to take time. Most people go through life without stepping back and in hindsight go through again those fond memories we so enjoyed we just went along with our feelings and the excitement of the moment. Then, after many months we remember once again, this time giving more emphasis on gratitude for all the memories. Ocean Park, Philippines, take me back to your awesome site. Malaybalayan waits for your invitation. . .

In ShenZhen, Malaybalayan and friends were reminded of the ZTE scandal. . .

Malaybalayan had the time of her life. Have you experienced a similar one? To the memories, Hello forever. . .

Was the trip surreal or real?

Sometimes Malaybalayan closes her eyes to savor once again her first trip abroad. With December just around the corner, M is wishing for a generous sponsor who will invite her family to see New York. Oprah, do visit my blogspot. Perhaps, you, are the one, aren't you?

Do you agree MJ's film "is really it"?

While Malaybalayan was in Davao City Phjilippines, she did not only avail of the Bahia Spa fabulous wellness package but took time out to see Michael Jackson's movie: This is it.
Like a teacher of many years and would insist on excellence MJ knew exactly what to do and should not be done by anybody connected with the show. Malaybalayan is at a loss how to describe the many aspects of the film but one message is sure: Michael's supposed to be "sold out concerts all over the world" are it. If your jaw remained opened for few seconds just gaping at the props that were designed to mesmerize audiences of various ages, how much more if it were the real thing!

Malaybalayan almost forgot that Michael is dead because the film made MJ so alive. All the talk about his frailty, that he was in pain most of the time, seemed so remote if not impossible. Suffice it to say, the film made us dance or at least "move to the groove" and sang his immortal songs. Having said that the actual concerts were supposed to be it but could not be pushed through because of MJ's unexpected demise, the film is it!

So, with barely a week left, out you go and into a theatre nearby. Tell Malaybalayan if MJ's film:"This is it" is truly it.

Life really begins at fifty plus

Before it used to be said: "Life begins at forty" but with all the multifaceted viewpoints that simultaneously appear before you can properly digest exactly what the reality was all about, you become disoriented. So, the criteria have become more lenient and allow the person to move on. Definitely there is no excuse why one who is fifty and more can escape the calling called existence.

Anyone out there likes to affirm that indeed for you too life became clearer upon reaching fifty onwards. . . Malaybalayan invites you to a "soiree" of sort: a gathering of feedbacks from the older bloggers . Come up with your unrehearsed perspective of how you keep your life on tract. Let Malaybalayan be the vehicle of dialogue. Who are the early responders? Malaybalayan hopes to feel your visit next time she opens her blogspot. Hello fellow fiftyers, let the world know we are here to be heard. We echo the loud roar: Life begins at fifty and more.

The Malaybalay of Malaybalayan's Life Stages

There comes a time in one’s when life today comes in full circle. This is made possible by the many comparisons one is made to reflect upon. All the events come rushing by for one to recall, to recapture, to go deeper into some scenarios, to forget. Malaybalayan, having chosen for its blog name, Malaybalayan, happens to be born in Malaybalay and stayed there through her elementary, high school and college years.

Malaybalayan left Malaybalay to find her mark in Cebu City and gave the place a chance to make it her home but it was not meant to be. Malaybalayan moved to Davao City and spent 20 years of her life there: got married and had 4 beautiful and handsome children. Just when the children finished their high school, events took over and it was back to Malaybalay once again.

Now, it is Malaybalay, the home of Malaybalayan. Her children introduced her to blogging and readily Malaybalayan was the name that cropped up for her blog’s niche. It is life coming to its full circle so to speak.

Many do say that they have similar experiences in their lives. Somehow, Malaybalay calls them back and they too have come back for good. Now, their children are Malaybalayans. Someday, they will tell their stories too.

What does Malaybalayan say about Malaybalay through her years of relationship with it? As a place, she says it has grown: from a town to a city. As such, people do not know each other as much as they used to. Bad elements have come to sow anxiety and disorder. Still, the residents hang on to the Malaybalay we used to know: peace and serenity. As my future, it is still a better option compared to what has become of other cities.

Malaybalayan invites you to visit Malaybalay. More details about the town of her birth will follow soon. Welcome to the City within a forest.

The gang wanted to visit as many sites but especially Ateneo de Davao University and Davao Crocodile Park. Now they know Davao, being the largest city in the world just cannot be exhaustively toured in a day's time. Still, what the troop missed they compensated with their strong bond and laughter - from the start of their trip to their way back to beloved Malaybalay.

Who is more excited? the students or the crocodile?

Malaybalayan awaits from the Certificate of Teaching Students their answer to the question: Who is more excited? the students or the crocodile?

Malaybalayan with her studes visit Ateneo de Davao University

Let their happy faces speak for itself! Where's Malaybalayan? Ateneo, thanks for the memories!

Malaybalayan invites you t o visit Malaybalayan.blogspot.com

Up to now 30 plus blogs later, Malaybalayan wonders what is there in blogging that Malaybalayan decided to go into it. Then it dawned on her that it is the act of just writing away plus the hidden wish that she can invite the world to visit her blogspot. May she expect your visit soon?

Yet, there are moments when nothing just seems to work; blogs are "worlds away". Perhaps, when photos taken in Davao will be on "display" it will get the "juice of inspiration" keep coming. Let Malaybalayan pause for a much needed respite.

An Angel saved my day . . . now Malaybalayan can blog with a smile

In the course of improving its blogspot, Malaybalayan seemed to have overdone it. Its design disappeared and the complaints kept coming. Nobody came to the rescue until today. Malaybalayan got an angel in a lady called Ayeng who just announced Malaybalayan clicked something it should not have disturbed at all. Well, it is now water under the bridge (not behind the bridge secretary . . .)Malaybalayan's angel saved its day and now Malaybalayan's smile is back with a bang!

This is one of the eye openers fifty plus agers must come to terms with. If they stay stubborn then the mess becomes worse. Fifty plus agers out there, do you agree with Malaybalayan's observation?

Have you prayed the rosary lately?

If there is one great thing technology has done to the world, it is to keep us informed 24/7 what is happening anywhere and everywhere right there in our living room. Imagine, typhoons in vivid color as the victims present their travails right where they are - in pain, in utter desperation, still hopeful amidst destruction. Sometimes the episodes are so real, Malaybalayan "reaches out" through prayer, uses transcendental meditation to touch the screen and give positive energy, healing vibrations to anyone out there.

For us Catholics, October is a special month where our prayer is inspired by Mama Mary. Called the rosary  month, it encourages every catholic to pray individually or as a community. We, at the College of Teacher Education who are catholic decided to pray at twelve noon and after it, have agape. How about you fellow catholics out there? Have you prayed the rosary lately?

My fifth child named MALAYBALAYAN

26th September of 2009
came like my gold mine
imagine a blogspot came to mind
even as i accept am blind.

Mind you I can see
but blogging is one foreign to me
To finally write articles in my blogspot
The feeling of hysteria comes closest.

Yet if you respond to my blogs
You're sure I'd have to brag
For a newfound friend took time
To read and post a comment just for me.

So here I go and wait for you
My blogs will keep coming
But if you respond it would be more fun
And worth the time of taking time.

Bye for now. . .
But am just a blog away. . .
Invite me to your world
As invite you to mine.
